An official delegation representing the Vatican State was honored to visit the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him.
The papal delegation toured the corridors of the purified Shrine and saw the historical and religious monuments spread throughout the blessed shrine and the Courtyard of Lady Fatima, peace be upon her.
The Vatican delegation included: the representative of the Pope and the President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, Cardinal Miguel Angelo Ayuzu Guixo, the Secretary of the Council, Marcos Solo, and the Secretary of the Vatican Embassy in Iraq, Charles Luanga Suona.
