The people of Sanabis in Bahrain announce their solidarity with the great academic Al-Singace
Residents of the town of Sanabis in Bahrain organized a sit-in, in solidarity with the Bahraini academic Abdul Jalil Al-Singace, who is on hunger strike in Bahrain’s prisons.
The protesters raised banners and chanted slogans calling for the release of Al-Singace, who suffers from health problems, and called on the authorities to return his research, which was confiscated by the Jaw prison administration.
Al-Singace has been on a hunger strike since July 8 to protest against ill-treatment and the confiscation of research he spent years writing.
US Senator Marco Rubio had called for Al-Singace’s release, and local and international human rights organizations from different parts of the world had previously called for the return of his research confiscated by the authorities, and for his release as a prisoner of conscience.
