India: Followers of Ahlulbayt organize mourning procession on holy Arbaeen

Followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Mumbai, India, organized last Sunday, a mourning procession to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Dressed in black and beating their chests, the mourners walked the stretch from Bhendi Bazaar to Byculla in south Mumbai, and in Govandi and Jogeshwari in the eastern and western suburbs, respectively.

“The mourning actually goes on for two months and ten days but the days of Ashura and Chehlum are the most significant,” said Anwar Hussain, a mourner who participated in the mourning procession at Bhendi Bazaar.
