A Public Conference in Islamabad Affirms the Love for the Greatest Prophet as a Cornerstone for Muslim Unity
The National Solidarity Council of Pakistan, in conjunction with the blessed birthdays of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), held a public conference in the capital city of Islamabad under the title “The Love for the Greatest Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) as a Unifying Axis for Muslims,” hosted by the Council of Muslim Unity.
The conference witnessed extensive participation from scholars and clerics of various Islamic sects in Pakistan, alongside religious and political leaders, intellectuals, and figures from diverse circles. The program included several speeches that addressed the noble prophetic biography and the importance of drawing upon its values to face the challenges confronting the Islamic nation.
Participants emphasized that the love for the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) represents a common bond and a unifying link among Muslims of different sects and intellectual schools. They underscored that adhering to his life and teachings could contribute to overcoming differences and enhancing brotherhood, solidarity, and Islamic unity.
The participating scholars pointed out the importance of steering clear of sectarian and denominational disputes, and working jointly to protect Islamic values and enhance understanding and rapprochement among the nation’s members. They affirmed that the love for the Greatest Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) should be practically reflected in spreading the values of brotherhood, tolerance, acceptance of others, and mutual respect.
Furthermore, the conference called for reinforcing cooperation among scholars and clerics from various Islamic schools and sects, along with religious and social forces in Pakistan, while promoting a culture of dialogue and religious tolerance, contributing to the consolidation of harmony and coexistence within society.
The participants expressed their determination to continue efforts through the National Solidarity Council of Pakistan to strengthen Muslim unity and mutual understanding among various sects. They confirmed that recalling the prophetic biography and shared love for the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) constitutes an essential basis for reinforcing the spirit of solidarity and fraternity among Muslims.
