Russian Scholar Calls for Muslim Unity and a Return to Quranic Teachings

Russian scholar and researcher Abdul Karim Taras Chernenko has called on Muslim communities to strengthen their unity and draw on the teachings of the Holy Quran to address the cultural, economic and social challenges facing the Islamic world.

Speaking at a seminar titled “The Quran and Challenges in the Contemporary World,” Chernenko emphasized the importance of education, Islamic brotherhood and cooperation among Muslim nations. He also urged Muslims to distinguish authentic Islamic teachings from practices he believes are inconsistent with the religion’s principles.

The researcher stressed that dialogue between civilizations, respect for religious beliefs, social justice and solidarity are essential to building peaceful and cohesive societies. He concluded by calling for the practical application of Quranic values and the example of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) to strengthen cooperation and unity among Muslims worldwide.
