In its annual report, the Pakistan Human Rights Commission has stated that the forced expulsion of Afghan migrants has pushed the lives of thousands of families into crisis, describing these actions as “inhumane”.

According to a report shared by the KhabarTaza Afghanistan Telegram Channel, the human rights body emphasized that after Pakistan’s government implemented a policy for the deportation of undocumented migrants, their access to essential services—such as healthcare, medical treatment, and financial support—has been severely restricted.

Human rights organizations have also reported that this situation has placed additional pressure on migrant families, further exacerbating their struggles.

The Pakistan Human Rights Commission has raised alarms about how the denial of essential services, alongside the forced expulsion, is worsening the migrants’ conditions. The commission has called for adherence to human rights principles and respect for human dignity when dealing with migrants.

The report also reminded that Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghan migrants over the past decades, and the recent decisions have sparked widespread international concern. These reports are emerging at a time when global human rights organizations have also raised concerns about the humanitarian consequences of the mass expulsion of migrants.
