India: Seminar on “The Voice of Zainab” Highlights the Role of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her) in Preserving the Message of Ashura

In the Indian city of Kargil, a scholarly and literary event was held to explore the life of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (peace be upon her) and her role in preserving the message of Ashura and conveying the principles of the Hussaini revolution to future generations.

The Baqir al-Uloom (peace be upon him) Institute for Research and Education in Kargil organized a seminar titled “The Voice of Zainab (peace be upon her)” with the participation of an elite group of scholars, researchers, authors, poets, and students.

Throughout the seminar, the speeches and research presentations focused on the scientific, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of Lady Zainab’s character, as well as her stances following the event of Karbala and her role in clarifying the reality of what transpired and conveying Imam Hussain’s (peace be upon him) message to the Muslim community.

Participants affirmed that Lady Zainab embodied the highest meanings of patience, courage, foresight, and steadfastness in the face of oppression, noting that her speeches and stances had a significant impact in reinforcing the message of Ashura and preserving the objectives of the Hussaini uprising in the Islamic memory.

The event also included poetic segments and research discussions that highlighted the lessons of faith, dignity, defense of truth, and resilience from Lady Zainab’s life. Emphasis was placed on the importance of introducing young generations to these values and utilizing them to confront contemporary challenges.

At the conclusion of the program, nine winners were honored in a reading competition that involved 69 young participants from students and religious science scholars, as part of encouraging youth engagement in reading and expanding their religious and cultural knowledge.
