Pakistan’s Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) has announced a Rs15 billion ($52.8 million) initiative to help rebuild infrastructure destroyed in Gaza during Israel’s two-year war, Arab News reported. The project aims to restore access to clean water, food, healthcare, education, and shelter for Palestinians through both short- and long-term programs.

The announcement follows a US-brokered ceasefire mediated by President Donald Trump at a Sharm El-Sheikh summit, under which Hamas released 20 Israeli hostages and Israel freed nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. AKF said it has already begun delivering aid, with 100 tons of food and supplies arriving in Cairo to be transferred into Gaza within days.

The charity urged global donors and philanthropists to contribute to humanitarian relief efforts, emphasizing that its work is driven purely by compassion. Meanwhile, renewed Israeli strikes in southern Gaza on Sunday threatened the fragile ceasefire, as both sides traded accusations.
