The 11th edition of the Katara Arabic Novel Festival will take place from October 13 to 19 in Doha, featuring a wide range of cultural and literary events. According to Khalid Abdulrahim Al-Sayed, General Supervisor of the Katara Prize for Arabic Novel, the awards ceremony will be held on October 13 at the Katara Opera House, honoring winners across six categories: published novels, unpublished novels, young adult fiction, unpublished historical novels, critical studies, and Qatari novels.

The festival will also mark the launch of the third Katara Book Fair, featuring 100 Qatari and Arab publishing houses showcasing new releases, especially in literature and literary criticism. Highlights include book signings for the 10th edition’s winning titles—some translated into English and French—as well as panel discussions, workshops with renowned authors and critics, and the release of new titles from Katara Publishing and participating publishers.
