Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Holy Prophet Followed Religion of Prophet Ibrahim Forty Years Before Initiating His Divine Mission

Another daily scholarly session led by Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi took place in his honourable residence in Qom on Wednesday, the 21st of Rajab. During this session, as in previous meetings, the supreme Marja addressed questions from attendees regarding various jurisprudential issues.

In relation to the religion of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family) before initiation of his prophethood, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated that Allameh Majlisi has reported in “Bihar al-Anwar” that the Prophet was not a follower of the religion of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him).

His Eminence further emphasized that Almighty God had a direct connection with the Prophet forty years prior to his initiation of prophethood.

Additionally, he stressed that during those forty years, the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure family, adhered to the religion of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and was not a Christian.
