Taiwan plans to develop halal tourism

Taipei City was recently lauded as the “Most Promising Muslim-friendly City Destination of the Year” by the Halal In Travel Global Summit 2023.

Department of Information and Tourism of Taipei City Government announced during a recent press conference that it will collaborate with Family Mart to create special areas for Muslim-friendly halal products in its stores.

This zone is set to be located in 8 stores near popular tourist destinations in Taipei and will offer a variety of products including snacks, biscuits, drinks, instant noodles and more.

The products available in these stores have been approved by the Islamic Society of China to provide safe and friendly services to Muslim visitors and enhance their tourism experience in Taipei City.
