Daily Session of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi with scholars, believers in the holy city of Qom

The daily scientific session was held by His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, with scholars, believers and Islamic seminary students in his honorable house in the holy city of Qom, on Tuesday morning, corresponding to the fifth of the holy month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH (5/7/2022), where one of the attendees asked:

“Can the aqeeqah be slaughtered in another city?”

 His Eminence replied:

 “It is permissible, because the narration says that the sacrifice should be offered, which is the aqeeqah for the newborn. As for where the aqeeqah is slaughtered, this is up to the parents.”

The session continued with His Eminence the answering various other questions raised by the attendees, including: the dependence of the khums on money, the ruling of performing the dead prayer on extremists, and the rule of debt payment by another person.
