At least 21 people were martyred after a suicide bomb exploded in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, police and medical officials have said.
At least 13 civilians were martyred in the attack, which took place at a police checkpoint at the entrance to the holy city of Kadhimiya.
Security sources mentioned that at least five of those martyred in the bombing were policemen.
A source in the Iraqi police announced on Sunday, that the casualties of al-Shaab bombing north of Baghdad were eight martyrs and 19 wounded, including elements of the security forces.
