Campaign to advocate for Kashmiri Muslims against Indian oppression

Activists on social media have launched campaigns calling for the support of Muslims in Kashmir, after a campaign against them by India.
Activists posted many pictures and clips of the aggression and violence against Muslims in India in general, and Kashmir in particular.
Activists also posted news that teachers were killed in gunfire, in an attack on a school in the Indian-controlled part of the disputed Kashmir region.
The events began with the circulation of a video clip of the killing of a Muslim by members of the Indian police in the Indian state of Assam, then trampling on his body by a photographer accompanying the police, which sparked widespread anger across the communication platforms in Islamic countries.
In the aftermath, activists on social media in Arab and Islamic countries called for a campaign to boycott Indian products, because of the displacement of Muslims from the state of Assam.
Activists expressed their anger at the continuation of India’s siege of Kashmir for the 797th day in a row, with no firm official stance taken by Islamic countries towards India. They also described the Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia, in particular, the Muslim World League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as “similar to clinical dead.” .
