Pakistan Hosts International Conference on the Prophet’s Biography, Focusing on Protecting and Shaping the New Generation

The Pakistani capital, Islamabad, hosted an international conference on the Noble Prophet’s biography, titled “Protecting and Shaping the New Generation and Its Role in Light of the Prophet’s Biography,” marking the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The conference was attended by a large number of scholars, clerics, and religious and official figures.
The conference was held at the Jinnah Convention Centre and organized by Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended as the chief guest, alongside a number of ministers, officials, ambassadors, and representatives of religious, academic, and social institutions.
The conference focused on drawing on the Noble Prophet’s biography in the intellectual, moral, and social education of younger generations, shaping their character, and strengthening their connection to Islamic values and principles amid the growing intellectual, moral, and social challenges facing young people.
Scholars and participants emphasized that the life of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) represents an integrated approach to building individuals and societies, embodying values of justice, compassion, love, tolerance, brotherhood, and good character. They called for translating these principles into a practical approach to educating young people and addressing contemporary issues.
Scholars and clerics from various Islamic schools and traditions in Pakistan participated in the conference. Speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening Muslim unity, promoting interfaith harmony, and fostering a culture of peace, tolerance, and coexistence within society.
In this context, Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Imam of the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, stressed the importance of educating young people in light of the Prophet’s biography and strengthening their spirit of unity and responsibility, while promoting the values of peace and social harmony.
The conference stressed the need for coordinated efforts by scholars, families, educational and religious institutions, social organizations, and government bodies to build a conscious and morally grounded generation capable of assuming its responsibilities toward society and the nation.
The conference concluded by emphasizing that the Noble Prophet’s biography is not merely a historical record of the life of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), but rather a comprehensive practical framework for building individuals, families, and societies. It called for strengthening its presence in the lives of younger generations in a way that reinforces the values of peace, unity, coexistence, and stability.
