Misbah al-Hussein Foundation implements the ‘Sacrifice Project’ in Mazar-i-Sharif, in cooperation with organizations affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority
The Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development distributed sacrificial meat to the underprivileged in Mazar-i-Sharif, the largest city in Afghanistan.
This came within the framework of the charitable foundation’s activities to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged and in cooperation with IHTV and UK-based IHDRF Organization.
The Foundation said in a statement, received by Shia Waves, “The Sacrifice Project, implemented by several organizations affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority, includes slaughtering a large number of animals and distributing their meat to underprivileged families during Eid al-Adha.”
The statement added that “the difficult economic situation that many poor families are going through in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, prompted Shirazi charitable, media and human rights organizations to pay attention to their living conditions and provide them with relief.”
The statement stressed that “the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, always stresses on caring for the poor, the underprivileged, and orphan families, and providing their necessary needs under difficult living conditions.”
The statement pointed out that “the Sacrifice Project continued over the days of Eid al-Adha by distributing sacrificial meat, in addition to providing aid and food baskets to the poor families.”
