Baghdad Operations announces thwarting the infiltration of a terrorist, south of Baghdad

Today, the army units of the 17th Division announced that they had thwarted an infiltration attempt of a terrorist, south of the capital, Baghdad.
A statement by the Baghdad Operations Command received by Shia Waves Agency stated that a military force belonging to the 1st regiment, 55th Brigade, and the Intelligence Division of the 17th Division, carried out a military operation south of the capital, Baghdad, to clear the area of ISIS cells.
The statement indicated that “terrorist movements were monitored through thermal cameras, and as a result, the military force was able to repel the infiltration attempt after clashes.”
It continued, “Our units there are still continuing to search and pursue the terrorists in the area.”
