An academic at the American University of New York confirmed that the Charter of Republican Values in France unfairly leads to the incrimination of all Muslims.
Professor of History and Political Science, Richard Wolin, said that after its ratification, this decision will become a harmful law and reflects extremely negative intentions and French racial prejudices.
He explained that the project does not differentiate between true Islam and the Islam of extremists and thus criminalizes Muslims unfairly, explaining that the law is harmful and negative because it makes most Muslim citizens in France isolated from French values.
He stressed that France, with this decision, reflects its emotion in front of all those who reject French secularism.
Regarding the reasons for the growth of so-called ‘Islamic extremism’ in France, he said that he believes that the feelings of Islamic extremism in France are due to the failure of the process of social integration, stressing that the French government is unable to accept the “other” or accept any “difference.”
He pointed out that the problem is not Islam, but the problem lies in the failure of France to integrate Muslim immigrants into French society.
