Reports deny allowing non-pilgrims to perform circumambulation around the Grand Mosque

Press reports have confirmed today that what was circulated regarding permitting the circumambulation (Tawaf) of the Grand Mosque, for non-pilgrims, is incorrect.
The Saudi newspaper Okaz quoted sources as saying that the decision to allow is old and was taken with the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, indicating that there is no commitment to what is being transmitted through social media.
It is noteworthy that social networking sites had reported news that the two sects of non-pilgrims were allowed to perform Tawaf, starting from Saturday.
