India’s Shias express their concerns about the escalation of Taliban’s violence against innocent Afghans

A large number of Shia Muslims in India expressed their fears of an increase in killings and violence practiced by Taliban terrorists against defenseless civilians in Afghanistan.
The Shia Indians described terrorist organizations as enemies of religion and humanity, even if they falsely claim their affiliation with Islam, which calls for peaceful coexistence with all sects and religions in the world.
Shia clerics in India said in separate statements followed by Shia Waves, “The growing violence and the growing strength of the Taliban terrorist movement is very frightening, as it has worked to intimidate, kill and displace the innocent civilians, especially the oppressed Shias in Afghanistan.”
They added that “such terrorist movements supported by the enemies of Islam, aim to distort the religion and the ideals and values brought by the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny.”
The Shia scholars called on international organizations and governments to stand by the innocent Afghans and help them repel the terrorist attacks that targeted thousands of oppressed people.
