The General Secretariat of the holy shrine of Imam Ali in Najaf, Iraq, has been organizing Quranic programs on the occasion of birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra, peace be upon her.
Iraqi Quran activists as well as a number of Iranian reciters and eulogists have attended the Quranic programs.
According to the center’s website, the programs started on March 31 and will run for three days.
Abdul Hadi Hassan Handul, an official with the center, said Abdullah Munim al-Silawi, a prominent reciter from the holy city of Najaf opened the program on the first night with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran.
He said Sheikh Saad Abu Tabuq, the director of the Dar-ol-Quran center, then delivered a speech on the biography and virtues of the Pure Lady, peace be upon her.
Iranian Qari Mohammad Hassan Movahedi also recited verses from the Quran and Mohammad Ziqami from the holy city of Qom, Iran, recited eulogies in praise of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) during the first night of the program.
