The 4th International Conference “Health During Holy Arbaeen” commenced yesterday, with the participation of doctors and health specialists from eight countries, at the Iranian University of Medical Sciences in the capital, Tehran.
The conference, which will continue for three days, features around 30 guests from various countries, alongside a wide presence from within Iran.
The conference activities aim to showcase the latest scientific achievements and medical technologies related to health during the Holy Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, where millions of visitors gather in the holy city of Karbala.
The President of the Iranian University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdurreza Bazouki, announced that the conference includes 17 scientific committees and will cover 387 scientific papers, with 180 to be presented as lectures, while the rest will be displayed in the form of electronic posters.
Dr. Bazouki added that around 200 keynote speakers, including 38 international speakers, will participate in this prominent medical event, in addition to organizing 24 workshops.
“Through this conference, we seek to enhance knowledge exchange and develop best health practices to serve the visitors of Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein, peace be upon him, during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, ensuring the provision of effective and safe medical services for them,” the academic official added.
An exhibition will be organized on the sidelines of the conference to showcase innovations and research related to public health in the context of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, aiming to highlight effective health solutions that can be implemented during large gatherings, such as the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
