India Hosts First Training Program for Arab League Diplomats
——————————-
India has launched its first diplomatic training program for Arab League member states, bringing together 29 mid-career diplomats at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service in New Delhi from October 21 to 30, 2026.

The program follows an agreement reached at the India-Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in January 2026 to strengthen cooperation between diplomatic training institutions. Participants are receiving training in negotiations, security, energy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cultural diplomacy.

The diplomats have also visited major historical sites, including the Taj Mahal and Gandhi Smriti, and met Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. Indian officials said the initiative aims to deepen mutual understanding, strengthen diplomatic ties and build a lasting professional network between India and Arab countries.
