Iraqi Military Intelligence managed on Tuesday to arrest a terrorist who held the position of “tax collector” within the ISIS terrorist organization in Ninawa province.
According to the media department of the Military Intelligence, based on accurate intelligence information and effective coordination with the unit affiliated with the 15th Division, in cooperation with the Ninawa West Security Directorate and forces from the 73rd Brigade, led to setting up a well-planned ambush in the Al-Ayadiya district.
The operation in Al-Ayadiya resulted in the capture of the terrorist, who was wanted by the Iraqi judiciary under the provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Law. It was explained that the terrorist played a vital role in ISIS, being responsible for collecting taxes from citizens and transferring them to the organization’s coffers.
