Kuwaiti MP Saleh Ashour visits Grand Ayatollah Shirazi at his residence in Holy Qom
Kuwaiti Shia MP in the National Assembly, Saleh Ashour, visited Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi at his residence in the holy city of Qom. This visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Kuwait and religious authorities, especially after Ashour’s visit to the holy shrine of Sayyeda Fatima al-Ma’suma, peace be upon her.
During the visit, MP Ashour briefed Grand Ayatollah Shirazi on the current conditions of the followers of Ahlulbayt in Kuwait, highlighting their active role in serving the local community. He discussed their efforts in promoting Islamic values and participating in social and cultural activities that contribute to the betterment of Kuwaiti society.
Ashour also touched on the challenges facing the Shia community in Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation with all parties to strengthen peaceful coexistence among all components of Kuwaiti society.
In response, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi listened to Ashour’s insights and provided valuable guidance on the importance of upholding religious values and fostering unity among the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
He also emphasized the crucial role of youth in spreading and promoting the teachings of Ahlulbayt and working diligently for the progress and prosperity of Islamic societies.
This visit comes at a time when the Islamic world needs greater unity and understanding among its members, underscoring the importance of communication between religious and political leaders in supporting the causes of various communities.
