Iraq: Shabakha district begins walk towards holy Karbala

Deep in the desert and a few kilometers from Suadi borders with Iraq, the Shia of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in the Shabakha district have begun their march towards holy Karbala to participate in the coming Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on the twentieth of the mournful month of Safar.

The district is located 360 kilometers from holy Karbala; on the road pilgrims take en route to Mecca.

It is worth mentioning that Shia followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), both from inside and outside Iraq, participate in the commemoration of the Massive Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
