For the second year in a row, Malaysia and Indonesia topped the list of leading countries in Islamic finance.
According to the report of the company “Refinitiv”, which is active in the field of financial market data analysis, the countries of Malaysia and Indonesia maintained the first and second positions in the Islamic Financial Development Index (IFDI) for 2021, for the second year in a row.
After these two countries, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE ranked third to fifth, respectively.
Malaysia also ranked first in terms of indicators of knowledge, quantitative development, governance and awareness.
The report indicated that this growth reflects the strength of the Islamic finance industry and its continuous development, despite the unprecedented challenges imposed by the Corona pandemic in 2020.
