US coalition transfers prominent ISIS prisoners from al-Hasakah to Iraq
Military sources said that the International Coalition forces transferred nine ISIS prisoners from Gwiran prison in al-Hasakah city, which is supervised by the Asayish forces affiliated with the Kurdish Autonomous Administration, to Iraq.
The sources indicated that the transfer of prisoners took place from the Semalka border crossing.
These sources pointed out that the coalition forces mobilized their military in the vicinity of the prison, which was accompanied by an intense flight of international coalition helicopters that covered the process of transporting prisoners to Iraq’s Kurdistan.
The nine transferred prisoners are of foreign origins and were arrested in the Al-Baghouz area during the battles to control.
