Shirazi Office Offers Condolences on the Anniversary of the Death of Lady Sukayna, Daughter of Imam Hussein, Peace Be Upon Him
The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may his shadow endure, issued a condolence message on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Lady Sukayna, daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon them, which coincides with the fifth of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH.
The condolence message stated: “We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the sacred station of Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his noble reappearance, and to the believers around the world, on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Lady Sukayna, peace be upon her.”
The Office of the Religious Authority highlighted the importance of commemorating the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, as a tribute to the life of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his pure family, and as a remembrance of their eternal stances and sacrifices made to preserve religion and uphold its principles.
The office emphasized that recalling these tragedies and occasions embodies the meanings of connection and loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and contributes to reviving their life stories and introducing their elevated stances and values.
Furthermore, it added that emulating the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and adhering to their principles represents a continuation of the pure path of Islam, urging the drawing of lessons and insights from their lives and the transmission of their values and principles to future generations.
