Over 5,000 Vehicles Deployed for Pilgrims During Prophet’s Martyrdom Anniversary in Holy Najaf

Iraq’s Ministry of Transport confirmed that more than 5,000 vehicles were mobilized in Holy Najaf to facilitate the movement of pilgrims during the commemoration of Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him and his family) martyrdom anniversary.
According to Najaf Transport Directorate chief Diaa al-Janabi, vehicles of various sizes were stationed across the province’s main terminals to ensure smooth transport and prevent overcrowding. The plan focused on major gathering points and included monitoring fares to protect visitors from exploitation.
Pilgrims were transported along three main routes: the southern terminal, the northern terminal, and the Kufa route. Authorities said the operation was carried out in coordination with security and service agencies, with traffic managed around the clock to secure city entrances and exits while accommodating the heavy influx of visitors.
