Local Government in Karbala launches second stage of security monitoring system

On the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, the Governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, announced the launch of the second stage of the security monitoring system, which will contribute greatly to maintains security within Holy Karbala.

During the announcement ceremony attended by Shia Waves Agency’s correspondent, Al-Khattabi said that, “The local government is keen to complete the second stage of installing the advanced electronic security monitoring system, as it has already finished the first part successfully.”

Al-Khattabi explained that “this stage includes the installation of more than (700) advanced surveillance cameras, after more than (600 cameras) were installed in the first stage.”

He pointed out that “after the project is completed, the radar will be launched to monitor wheel speed in compliance with traffic laws,” pointing out that this project “is a part of the governorate’s efforts to complete the (Smart City) project in Holy Karbala.”
