The Karbala Authority for Husseini Processions announced the registration of 11,070 processions (Mawakib) participating in service and mourning activities during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, including 127 groups from Arab and foreign countries, the official statement reported.

Preparations have reached their peak, with processions from various Iraqi provinces alongside international groups from countries such as Iran, Lebanon, Bahrain, Pakistan, and India. These groups have begun deploying service teams along routes to Karbala to provide food, water, and lodging to millions of expected visitors from Iraq and abroad.

Coordination with security, health, and service agencies is ongoing to ensure smooth movement and safety of pilgrims. This year’s pilgrimage features exceptional logistical arrangements due to the anticipated large turnout and expanded service pathways.

Holy Arbaeen is one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, commemorating the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in Holy Karbala.
