The Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Center, affiliated with the Supreme Religious Authority in Mahajanga, Madagascar, held a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), alongside commemorating the 19th anniversary of the passing of the distinguished Islamic scholar and jurist, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Ridha al-Husayni al-Shirazi (may his soul rest in peace).

The gathering was held on Thursday evening, 24 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH, as part of the center’s weekly religious programme dedicated to commemorating Islamic occasions and promoting the teachings and knowledge of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The ceremony focused on the blessed life of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), highlighting her outstanding virtues, exalted position in Islam, and the injustices and hardships she endured. Speakers also recalled her remarkable stance and sacrifices in defending the Islamic message and its values.

The programme also featured a Quranic gathering, during which verses from the Holy Quran were recited, with the reward of the recitations dedicated to the soul of the late Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Ridha al-Husayni al-Shirazi (may his soul rest in peace), marking the 19th anniversary of his passing.
