Freemuslim Association Marks World Population Day with Urgent Call for Gaza Action
……………..
Marking World Population Day on July 11, the Freemuslim Association has described the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as a “stain on humanity’s conscience,” urging immediate global action to halt forced displacement and ongoing violations against Palestinian civilians.
In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the international organization highlighted the stark contrast between the day’s global focus on health, housing, and development achievements and the grim reality facing Gaza’s population. Instead of progress, Gaza’s residents endure constant displacement, bombardment, and a collapse of basic living conditions.
The organization condemned the ongoing forced evictions, destruction of homes, and widespread damage to critical infrastructure, calling them blatant breaches of international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights, including the right to safety, shelter, and self-determination.
It called on the international community to fulfil its legal and moral responsibilities by taking immediate measures to end forced displacement, ensure displaced families can return safely, deliver urgent humanitarian aid, hold perpetrators of grave violations accountable, and advance a fair political resolution that upholds Palestinians’ full rights.
The statement reaffirmed the group’s belief that nonviolence remains the only viable path to sustainable peace, urging all parties to commit to dialogue and negotiation to end the suffering and deliver long-overdue justice for a people living under war and occupation.
