Restoration work continues at the shrine of Prophets Hud and Saleh (peace be upon them) in Holy Najaf, overseen by the General Secretariat of Shiite Shrines. The project is part of a broader effort to enhance the shrine and improve services for pilgrims.
Engineer Ali Khudair, head of the engineering division in Holy Najaf, explained that the renovation includes two parallel projects. One is part of the “Qubabuna” initiative, which involves constructing a new dome using the GRB system. The steel framework of the inner dome has been completed, and work is underway to cover the outer dome with GRB panels decorated in traditional Karbala tile.
Finishing work is being carried out by Al-Ghareem Company and includes installing Greek Thassos marble on the floors and walls, adding decorative mirrors, and tiling both interior and exterior columns. All work is being carefully supervised to ensure it meets high technical and spiritual standards worthy of the shrine’s significance.
