CIBE Holds Global Islamic Fintech Forum in Dubai

Al-Huda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (CIBE) successfully hosted the 2nd Global Islamic FinTech Forum 2025 on April 15 at Dubai’s Dusit Thani Hotel, London Daily reported. The event gathered industry leaders, policymakers, Shariah scholars, and technology innovators from 30 countries to discuss the evolving landscape of Islamic FinTech. Key topics included GenAI in insurance, Shariah-compliant WealthTech, Blockchain’s impact on asset management, and emerging technologies like Robo-advisors, Metaverse banking, and Central Bank Digital Currencies.
The forum highlighted the rapid growth of Islamic FinTech, with over 512 companies globally and projections exceeding 1,000 by 2027. Speakers emphasized the sector’s role in promoting ethical, sustainable, and inclusive financial solutions aligned with Shariah principles.
Al-Huda CIBE CEO stressed the transformative potential of Islamic FinTech in reshaping finance through innovation and inclusion. The event also featured the 2nd Global Islamic FinTech Awards ceremony and announced plans to launch a Shariah-compliant Carbon Credits trading forum later in 2025. A follow-up workshop on Islamic FinTech’s operational aspects took place on April 16.
