Reform UK Candidate Fired for Offensive Anti-Islam Tweets

Dan Cooper, a Reform UK candidate and former senior HR executive at law firm CMS, was dismissed after posting “I hate Islam” on social media, The Telegraph reported. Over his 12 years at CMS, he made several controversial remarks regarding Islam.

CMS took immediate action upon learning of Cooper’s “offensive remarks,” emphasizing that his views do not reflect the firm’s values. In a series of tweets, he labeled himself “anti-Islam.”

Cooper’s Twitter account, which has since been deleted, contained a biography identifying him as a “wellbeing ambassador” and a Reform candidate. CMS reiterated its commitment to fostering an inclusive culture, while a Reform UK spokesperson confirmed that Cooper’s membership has been suspended, ensuring he will not stand as a candidate in the upcoming local elections.
