Freemuslim condemns use of prohibited weapons by Israel, calls for urgent measures

The Freemuslim Association, a global anti-violence organization, has condemned the Israeli army’s use of internationally banned weapons during its recent military operations, calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop these repeated violations against civilians.

In a statement obtained by Shia Waves Agency, the organization urged the United Nations Security Council to denounce these blatant violations of international laws prohibiting chemical weapons, pointing out that the use of such weapons poses a significant threat to international peace and security.

The Freemuslim stated that its position is based on reliable international reports confirming that the Israeli army resorted to the use of white phosphorus bombs during the recent bombings—these are weapons prohibited under the Geneva Conventions and other international laws.

It emphasized that these violations add to the series of crimes committed by Israeli forces against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, particularly in light of the ongoing military escalation, stressing the need for the international community and human rights institutions to act swiftly to stop these massacres, noting that the continued use of such weapons flagrantly violates human rights and international humanitarian law.
