Blackburn Muslims contribute to completion of new Al-Ridwan Mosque
The Blackburn Mosque in Lancashire, UK, has announced the organization of a cultural day to raise funds for the completion of the new Al-Ridwan Mosque, which is currently facing shortages of construction materials.
The mosque’s organizers invited Muslims, donors, and charitable organizations to participate in cultural activities to be held at “The Ivy Venue” in Blackburn.
The goal of this event is to raise the necessary funds to complete the mosque, which will accommodate 450 worshippers once finished. The total cost to complete the project is estimated at around £1.2 million.
The mosque officials stated that the cultural day will include many enjoyable activities suitable for families, along with a variety of food and entertainment segments. The organizers are counting on broad participation from the Muslim community to achieve the desired goal.
In a separate development, Muslims in the town of Brierfield in Lancashire received official approval last month to build a new and larger mosque to replace the smaller one built in 2000.
