Calls to stop the screening of the film “The Lady of Heaven” after premiering in international cinemas

After the wide spread and great feedback received by the film “The Lady of Heaven” and its positive influence on non-Muslim viewers, campaigns have emerged to demand that it not be shown in Britain.

A member of the British House of Lords criticized the cancellation of the film’s screening as “disastrous for the arts and dangerous for freedom of expression”.

The film’s producer, Malek Shlebak, said in an interview with the Guardian newspaper, “Campaigns calling for the film to be withdrawn are ridiculous and contradict British values,” explaining that cinemas should defend their right to show such films instead of yielding to pressure.”

The film depicts an important aspect of the life of Lady Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, and the injustice that happened to her after the departure of her father, the Messenger of God, Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny.

The Lady of Heaven, directed by Eli King, is the first film that deals with the character of the daughter of the Noble Prophet, peace be upon her, and as a victim of terrorism, which is considered the first roots of terrorist movements at the present time.
