Myanmar army burns 11 civilians alive in northwest of the country

Eyewitnesses and local media reports in Myanmar reported that soldiers burned alive 11 civilians, including minors, in the northwest of the country.
Pictures of charred bodies with their hands tied behind their backs appeared amidst smoke in videos and photos circulated on social media.
Reports said that 100 soldiers stormed Don Taw village in Salinge town of Sagaing District in Myanmar.
A brother of one of the victims, according to the German news agency (dpa), said: “My brother was only a 22-year-old university student, and when the soldiers came, we ran, but he fell into their hands and was killed.”
Dr. Sasa, a spokesman for the opposition National Unity Government, published the names of 11 civilians, including five minors, the youngest being 14 and a young man aged 19.
“These acts are war crimes of the first degree, they are pure and clear terrorist acts,” the spokesman said in a statement posted on social media.
