Hajj 2026 Concludes as Pilgrims Return to Makkah After Days of Tashreeq
———————————
The main rituals of the 1447 AH / 2026 Hajj season have concluded with the end of the Days of Tashreeq and the completion of the final stoning of the Jamarat in Mina.
After several days in the holy sites of Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina, pilgrims returned to Makkah to complete the remaining rites of Hajj before preparing to travel back to their home countries.
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics announced that 1,707,301 pilgrims performed Hajj this year. The total included 1,546,655 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom and 160,646 domestic pilgrims, including Saudi citizens and residents.
Saudi authorities said the Hajj season concluded successfully, with security, transport, health, and service agencies working together to ensure pilgrims completed the rituals safely and smoothly.
Large-scale transport operations were carried out to move pilgrims from Mina to Makkah after the completion of the stoning rituals. Service teams and transport fleets were deployed to organize movement and ease crowd flow during the final stages of the pilgrimage.
