Public Relations of the Shirazi Religious Authority organizes protest in front of the Saudi Embassy in Baghdad

The Public Relations of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, organized a protest in front of the Saudi Embassy in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in memory of the crime of demolishing the graves of the Imams of al-Baqi, peace be upon them.
The Department stated, in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that “the Public Relations Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi organized a protest in front of the Saudi Embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone to condemn and denounce the crime of demolishing the pure graves of the Imams of al-Baqi, peace be upon them.”

He added, that the protest commemorated the anniversary of the demolition of al-Baqi on the eighth of Shawwal, and was attended by crowds of believers, owners of religious committees and Husseini processions, and tribals sheikhs from the holy province of Karbala, Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.

It is worth noting that, with the efforts of the PR Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, a mass gathering is held annually, to denounce the great crime on the Iraqi-Saudi borders, with the participation of hundreds of Ahlulbayt lovers.
