Daily Session of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi with scholars, believers in Qom
On the morning of Tuesday, the 28th of the holy month of Dhul-Qa’dah 1443 AH (06/28/2022 AD), one of the attendees od the Daily Session of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, asked:
“Given the high position of the Prophet of Islam, peace be upon him and his progeny, is it possible to say that the following verses of the Noble Quran are an insult to the Prophet and his progeny, peace be upon them: (And if he had made up something in Our Name, We would have certainly seized him his right hand, then severed his aorta.)”
His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi replied:
“This noble verse is not an insult to our master, the Messenger of God, peace be upon him and his progeny, but rather it shows the importance of divine rulings, and according to the honorable narrations, what is meant by such verses is not the Greatest Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny.”
The session continued with His Eminence al-Shirazi answering many inquiries by some of the attendees, including: The obligation of the follower to follow the imam’s actions in congregational prayer, the permissibility of prostrating on the ground and performing tayammum on the ground and what grows from it except what is eaten and worn, and the invalidity of tayammum on minerals such as agate and turquoise, in addition to the ruling of claiming to see Imam Mahdi, may God Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance.
