Taliban leader orders his followers to apply punishments according to their interpretation of the Sharia
The Taliban terrorist movement tightened the screws even more on the Afghan people, after its leader, Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, issued orders to the judiciary to impose penalties and rulings that the movement deems to be an application of “Islamic law”.
A spokesman for the movement’s leader, Zabihullah Mujahid, said: “Crimes such as theft, kidnapping and sedition must be punished according to the group’s interpretation of Islamic Sharia law.”
The Taliban group did not issue a specific detail of the crimes and punishments, but a religious leader in Afghanistan said in press statements followed by Shia Waves News Agency: “The punishments may include amputation of limbs and public flogging,” according to the extremist movement’s interpretation of the Sharia.
