Grand Ayatollah Bashir Al-Najafi: Young people are the leaders of the future, and defenders of religion

The Grand Ayatollah, Sheikh Bashir Al-Najafi, said on Wednesday that the great responsibility in defending the holy places, homeland, religion and identity is a sublime task that believers have assumed in their fight against terrorist groups.

His Eminence said, during his meeting with a group of young people and Iraqi security men, that “the young men are the leaders and protectors of the future; and they have the great responsibility of defending their country and national and religious identity.”

His Eminence explained that “Iraq, which has been distinguished by Allah (SWT) with a number of features and characteristics, such as its location, mineral and agricultural wealth, and that it has been honored to embrace six of the Imams of  Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and is the capital of the Commander of the Faithful, and the capital of his Grandson, Imam Al-Mehdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance.”

At the end of the meeting, Grand Ayatollah Al-Najafi delivered religious directives and instructions, and reminded the attendees of the important religious position of Iraq and the holy shrines, the conditions of Ziarah and its acceptance.
