The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that it had detained four ISIS-affiliated members in the Syrian city of Raqqa this month with support from the US-led force.
They confirmed that the operations had also carried out search campaign for weapons, explosives and ammunitions, with the focus on disrupting and dismantling ISIS networks.
ISIS took control of parts of Syria in 2014 but it was defeated five years later. Despite the group being stripped of any territorial control, it continues to threaten the security situation through different terror-related acts.
