Iranian pilgrims continue their march towards Karbala
For the sixteenth day, Iranian pilgrims are continuing their walk on foot towards Karbala to participate in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
Iranian local media, followed by Shia Waves, stated that the procession of Ansar al-Hussein, peace be upon them, started from the holy city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran and is continuing their journey on foot towards the holy city of Karbala to participate in the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
The sources confirmed, that these pilgrims travel more than 2000 km and for tens of days to reach the holy city of Karbala to revive the blessed day, while people provide food, drink and other services along their way.
The holy shrines in Iraq, Syria and Iran, centers and Husseiniyahs around the world are preparing to commemorate the holy months of Muharram and Safar, the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, his family and companions, peace be upon them.
