Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine covered in black to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, peace be upon him

Employees at the al-Askariyain Holy Shrine covered the shrine and courtyard with black banners to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the one who defended the faith of the Holy Prophet, Imam Jafar bin Muhammad al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.
The blessed courtyard will also witness a special 4-day religious program on this occasion, starting from Friday the 22nd, with the participation of Sayyid Saeed Sultan and Mullah Ammar al-Samawi.
It is worth mentioning that Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, was poisoned by oppressors on the 25th of Shawwal in the year 148 AH at the age of 65 years. He was buried in al-Baqi, a cemetery next to the Noble Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
