A number of Shia youths in Belgium distributed food baskets to the needy in the capital, Brussels.
This initiative comes to support the needy and the poor, especially in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The organizers of the initiative said in an interview with Shiawaves, “We, the youth of Husseiniyat al-Mahdiya in Brussels, Belgium, aim to support the poor and needy and show that Islam is based on tolerance and giving for all.”
Food baskets, cultural booklets, as well as T-shirts were distributed.
“We will continue to provide such humanitarian services, especially on the occasions of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, the most recent of which was the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
